Park Beach surf guide

Park Beach is a relaxed surf spot located north of the rivermouth. It's known for its consistent waves and usually isn’t too crowded, making it a good place for surfers looking for some space to catch a ride. This spot can deliver decent surf conditions depending on the swell and wind direction, which can be a bonus for surfers who are into exploring different setups.

The waves here work best with east swell directions and can handle sizes starting from about 0.3 meters (1ft). You’ll find a mix of left and right beach breaks, perfect for beginners dipping their toes into surfing. The north end at Macauleys tends to get better with north-east swells, while the south side is more favorable in south swell conditions. The best wind for this beach comes from the west, and the surf is enjoyable during low, mid, and high tides.

This spot is beginner-friendly, so if you’re just starting out, you’ll feel right at home. Just keep in mind that while it’s consistent, the quality of the waves can vary, so it’s good to check conditions before heading out. Enjoy your time at Park Beach!
