Route des Sanguinaires is a surf spot located between Ajaccio and Parata point. To find it, just slow down in front of the Chapelle des Grecs, near the Cimetière and the les CRS. This area features a mix of good reefs and pointbreaks, with mostly long right-handers that break with purpose over shallow water. The spot gets decent protection from northwesterly winds and can handle a pretty wide swell window.

The conditions here are quite suitable for intermediate surfers. Swells can come from the south and northwest, and they handle sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters). The waves break over uneven reefs, providing a unique ride. You’ll find that they generally work well at all tide heights—low, mid, or high. The preferred wind direction is from the north, which sets things up nicely for good sessions.
