Scott's Bay surf guide

Scott's Bay is a surf spot located at Western Head, known for its right point break. It’s best when there’s a south swell and any westerly wind. The waves here can deliver well-paced faces with sections that can be hacked. While it's not a top-tier surf destination, it can definitely offer a decent session for those looking to catch some waves.

This spot really shines with a south swell, but it can also handle northeast and southwest swells. It works well with sizes around 3 ft (about 0.9 meters). You’ll find that the wave breaks over an uneven reef, giving it some character. The primary wave direction is to the right, and it's best to surf here with low to mid to high tides. Intermediate surfers will find this spot to be a good challenge, especially with the right wind coming from the west.

There’s also a left break at the north end of the bay, which might give you some variety if you're looking for something different. The wave conditions, combined with the right swell, make Scott’s Bay a place worth checking out if you're in the area and want to have a session.
