Typhoon Alley surf guide

Typhoon Alley is located on the narrow Naiqoro Passage, and it faces southeast. This surf spot doesn't break all the time, but when the conditions are right, it can offer some decent waves. It's usually pretty quiet here, with not many surfers around, giving you plenty of space to enjoy the surf.

The best swell direction to catch waves at Typhoon Alley is Southeast, although it can also handle swells coming from the SouthWest. The spot works well with swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (0.6 meters) and can produce some fun right-hand reef breaks. For the best experience, aim for mid to high tide, especially with a prefered wind coming from the Northwest. Keep in mind, this spot is more suited for expert surfers, so be prepared for some challenging conditions.

In addition to the surf, the surrounding environment is pretty untouched, so you’ll often share the water with plenty of sea-life. It adds a unique vibe to your surf session here. Just remember, Typhoon Alley is not the most consistent spot, so it’s best to check the conditions before heading out.
