    Check your Timeline, then open a day and hour that fit your schedule.

    Free covers five days. Plus or a trial extends the forecast to 15 days and shows multiple watched spots in your Timeline.

  3. Check the local conditions.

    Check swell, wind, tide, and the spot guide. Map arrows show wind and swell directions against the coast. Model agreement shows how closely the models agree, not the chance of good surf.

    Model agreement, individual model comparison, satellite maps, and advanced swell detail have Plus or trial access limits.

  4. Make the call.

    Choose the spot and time that fit your ability and schedule. Wait if no suitable window is available.

  5. Record the result.

    Save your session and rate the conditions. Adding or editing a session on the website or in the iOS app can update shared spot rules used in future surf quality ratings.

Start with a free forecast that covers your spot. Surfnerd Free includes five forecast days and one watched spot in your Timeline. Surf Captain offers five days with ads. Check the free limits for the features you need: a free download does not mean every feature is free.

Can I use a surf forecast website without an app?

All eight products in this comparison have a website. Native app support varies. Surfnerd has an iOS app, and its website also works in a browser on Android or a computer. You can open Surfnerd’s public forecasts without an account; saving and watching spots require one.

Which surf forecast is most accurate?
