Overview
30th Street is a straight beachbreak in Ship Bottom that breaks over sand and peels both left and right. It's an easygoing, beginner-friendly wave and a decent option through the summer along this stretch of coast.
When It Works
This is a consistent break that will come to life whenever there's any swell around. It draws swell from northeast through east-southeast to south (NE-ESE-S), with northeast the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for west offshore wind to clean things up. It breaks on low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
An approachable wave for beginners, so expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on, often with plenty of younger surfers in the water.
Access
There's a surf shop nearby and free roadside parking, though no facilities at the beach itself. Tags are required, and summer surfing restrictions apply.
