Bali Village is a reef break with both lefts and rights, sitting in front of a Balinese settlement and close to the massive shipwreck of the Full King, grounded on the reef. You reach it heading south, and the waves break over dead coral.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from south to west (S-W), with a south (S) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there is a decent window between too small and too big. Expect it to be moderately consistent, delivering surf often enough to be worth the trip when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast (NE) offshore wind to clean things up. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers, with both the left and the right on offer. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet, so you usually won't be fighting for waves.
