Overview
Bedhuge is a remote, near-perfect right-hand reef break tucked away in the Maldives. It peels over dead coral and takes real commitment to reach, but the payoff is a clean, walling right when the setup lines up.
When It Works
Bedhuge draws swell from southeast through south, with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It really comes alive on big southeast pulses, so the more size the better. The reef is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind, which grooms the face and lets the right stand up. The reef breaks through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one is for expert surfers. A remote right breaking over shallow dead coral leaves little room for error, so it suits confident, experienced surfers who know how to handle a reef.
