Bockoi Plaji is a large beach with multiple set-ups, sitting east beyond Bartin. Waves break over sand and peel as both lefts and rights, so there's room to move around and find a bank that suits you.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from northwest through northeast, with northwest the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, coming to life on small to modest surf.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast offshore wind to clean up the faces. The banks can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
With its gentle, sandy beach-break peaks, Bockoi Plaji is a friendly spot for beginners to find their feet.
