Bonza's is a sand-bottomed beach break that peels both left and right. A pair of rivermouths to the north help shape the sandbars here, so the setup is very much a bank-driven beach.
When It Works
The spot draws swell from southwest through north to northeast, with a southwest swell the best match. It is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, and it stays fairly consistent through the season.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northwest offshore wind to clean things up. The bank works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly, forgiving wave that suits beginners. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet when it is on.
Access
There is a car park with free parking right by the break.
