Overview
Cap Blanc sits at the southern tip of the peninsula, a sand-bottomed beach break that peels both left and right. A major shipwreck rests on the sand here, and the spot throws up a rare, steep-bottomed shorebreak.
When It Works
Cap Blanc draws swell from southwest to north (SW-N), with a west (W) swell the best match. Exposure to swell is low, so it stays rideable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a north (N) offshore wind. The beach works across low, mid, and high tide, and a rising tide is generally the better call, with only minor movement between the phases.
Local Tips
This is an approachable spot for beginners, but the rips can run surprisingly strong for the size of the surf, so keep an eye on the current even on smaller days.
