Caswell Bay surf guide

Caswell Bay is a small, scenic bay located in Wales, known for its beachbreak peaks. It tends to get busy, especially with tourists and surf schools, making it a popular spot for beginners looking to catch some waves. To access the beach, there's a small car park available, but do keep in mind that parking fees apply.

The surfing at Caswell Bay is best when the swell is coming from the SouthWest or West. It handles swell sizes starting at around 2ft (0.6 meters) but needs a decent swell to start firing. When conditions align, you can expect left and right-breaking waves over sand, but the break may close out if the swell size gets too big. The waves are typically small, and the spot rarely sees clean conditions. The best bet for catching the waves is during mid to high tide with a light NorthEast wind.

This spot is a great place for beginners to practice their skills, thanks to its manageable waves. Since it's popular with surf schools, you can often find some instruction available if you're looking to learn. Just keep in mind that the waves may not be the most consistent, so plan your sessions accordingly.
