Chaguarama is a surf spot located near Rio Caribe, a bit out of the way but offers some nice options. This spot is just 10 minutes from Rio Caribe and about 30 minutes from Pui Puy. The waves at Chaguarama work best with a northeastern swell, but you can also catch some decent rides from the east. In addition to the surf, there are other nearby breaks worth checking out, especially as you head further along the coast towards the Peninsula de Paria, which can have some uncrowded gems. If you have a 4WD vehicle, you’ll have better access to a variety of beaches in the area. Exploring more might lead to some rewarding sessions, especially with the right conditions on your side.
