Coneeley's Reef is a left and right reefbreak that peels over uneven reef at the entrance to Swan Lake. It's a rewarding setup for intermediate surfers, breaking both ways so you can pick your line depending on the peak.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from the east through south (E-S), with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It's a consistent break and is usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there's a decent working window whenever a moderate southeast to south pulse shows up.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind to clean it up. The reef works through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on, with a friendly local crew in the water. If you want more room, walk down the beach and you'll find endless peaks to spread into.
Access
You'll find it at the end of 3rd Avenue in Berrara, facing the Swan Lake entrance. There are plenty of beachbreaks nearby if you're after more options.
