Overview
Derecharcha is a right-hand reef break that peels over a patchy mix of uneven reef and sand.
When It Works
It draws swell from south through west, with west swell the best match. The break is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft and tends to be moderately consistent.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners, with fun summer rights a bit further down the beach. The lineup stays fairly quiet, in part because it often closes out.
