Grand Drewin is a right-hand point tucked into a small sandy cove that faces a fishing village, set along a stretch of rocky headlands. It's the better righthander in the area, with faster walls up top and a suckier inside section to finish on. The wave breaks over a mix of uneven reef and sand.
When It Works
The point draws swell from southwest through southeast, with south swell the best match. It works from 1.5 m / 5 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, and it's a consistent spot that picks up swell reliably.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean up the walls. Grand Drewin can work through most of the tide, from low to high, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Despite the faster sections, it's an approachable wave that suits beginners. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it works, with a mix of locals and visitors in the water.
