Heisaura surf guide

Heisaura is a surf spot located along a 5km long crescent of sand facing southwest. It's a popular spot when conditions are right, especially for surfers looking to catch some waves. The area tends to attract a crowd, but the number of surfers usually thins out as you move away from the few parking spots. It's important to know that when it gets busy, it might be harder to find space in the water.

The best conditions for surfing at Heisaura require south swells and northeast winds. You can expect to ride both left and right waves over the sand. The spot can handle swell sizes starting at 1ft (approximately 0.3 meters), but tends to struggle at high tide unless the swell is big. One of the breaks here is called Tomoe, where some rocks can help anchor the sandbars and create a bit more variety in the wave action. Low to mid tide is usually the best time to paddle out.

Heisaura also catches similar swells as Kanagawa, making it a go-to spot when the winds shift out of the north in Chiba. It's a good choice for beginners looking to practice their skills, as the waves can be manageable depending on the conditions. Just keep an eye on the tide and swell size to choose your time wisely.
