Overview
Hof Maravi is a sand-bottomed beachbreak and the last beach in the stretch, sitting right next to old Jaffa with spectacular views over the old city. The bank throws up both lefts and rights, and the peaks line up beside the poles.
When It Works
Swell arrives here from southwest through northwest, with southwest the direction that lights it up best. The beach works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft, so there's a decent window between too small and too much water moving. It's moderately consistent, so you won't score every session, but the waves show up often enough to be worth checking.
Wind and Tide
Look for east wind to groom it offshore. The beach can work through most of the tide, though a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits beginners, and it draws a crowd, so expect a busy lineup when it's on. Set up beside the poles. Skip it after heavy rains, when serious pollution becomes a real problem.
