Overview
Il Parcheggio is a quality left-hand reef sitting 10 km south of Pulsano along the coast route. The wave breaks over uneven reef, and when it lines up it barrels down a long stretch of that reef. If it is not doing much on the day, several other reefs and beachbreaks are spread along the same road.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from southeast through south, with southeast (SE) the best match. It is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, but a big south or southeast swell is what really wakes it up and gets the left barrelling along the reef.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind, though onshore conditions are not a dealbreaker here. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave suits intermediate surfers, and the lineup rarely gets busy.
Access
The spot is 10 km south of Pulsano along the coast route, with free roadside parking. Punto Surf (099 495814) is the local shop for wave info.
