Overview
Jimmys Point is a reef break sitting furthest north from Krui, and it holds the best reputation among the northern breaks in the area. The left is the standout: a long wall with an intense barrel from take-off. The right is just as intense, throwing a hollow wall, though a tricky shallow exit makes it hard to finish cleanly. Everything breaks over dead coral.
When It Works
Jimmys Point draws swell from south through west, with a southwest (SW) swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 4.6 m / 15 ft, giving it plenty of range once a swell fills in. Consistency is moderate, so expect worthwhile windows when the setup lines up rather than surf every day.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast (NE) offshore wind to groom the faces. The reef works through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one is for experts. The barrels come fast from take-off, and the shallow exit on the right leaves little room for error. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet when it's on.
