Kabik surf guide
Surf: A small coral grove and some enticing beachbreak peaks deliver fun, easy to ride rights and lefts in electric blue waters. Light ESE winds with under 5 seconds period seas will create rideable waves here. Under bigger conditions, head to higher quality reefs E and W.
Directions: Use the sandy beachside carpark.
Environment: Kabik is a popular holiday spot and weekend retreat for Haitians from Petionville (in Port au Prince) with good seafood restaurants and beach parties. Try the Mais moulu (cornmeal) with pigeon beans, red snapper, fried plantain and a hot pepper sauce called picklese.
