Overview
La Moza is the best right-hand point in the area, peeling off the rocks at the southern end of a long beach. It breaks over uneven reef and sand and throws up long walls with cover-up sections, so rides here can run a long way. Just along the coast, Las Achiras and Cerro Chato offer more rights and a rivermouth peak if you want to spread out.
When It Works
The point draws swell from northeast through east-southeast to south (NE-ESE-S), with east (E) swell the best match. It picks up real power on southeast-to-south swells, and that's when those long walls turn on. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, and it's moderately consistent, so time your sessions for when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind to clean it up. The point works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate wave, and the lineup gets moderately busy when it works, drawing weekend crowds and a real squeeze in summer once the National Park fills up. Rides are long, so walk back along the beach rather than fight the drift back to the peak. Time your jump off the mussel-coated rocks carefully.
Access
There's camping nearby, along with free roadside parking.
