Little Point surf guide

Little Point is a surf spot located just north of Windansea. It offers a unique surfing experience for those who find themselves in the area. The vibe here can be a bit crowded, especially during the prime summertime months when surfers are all looking for the best waves. Although popular, it can get a bit hectic when the swells pump in.

The waves at Little Point tend to break left and can get pretty steep and hollow, which is why shortboards are the go-to here. The spot handles swell sizes from around 2ft (0.6 meters) and works best with south and northwest swell directions. It's important to keep an eye on the tide, as the waves are surfable during low, mid, and high tides, with high tide being particularly favorable. You'll also want to check the wind direction; east winds typically provide the best conditions to catch those fast lefts.

Access to Little Point is fairly straightforward—just walk north from Windansea. Keep in mind that this spot breaks over a rock ledge, so a bit of caution is advisable when paddling out. It’s always good to be aware of the crowd and to pick your waves wisely, especially since it can get packed during those prime surfing hours.
