Llandudno is a sand-bottomed beach break that peels both left and right along a Victorian seaside town. It is very much a last-resort option, serving up sloppy beach waves only when a west or northwest gale is blowing.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the west through northwest, with a northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, so you need enough size and the right storm to get anything rideable here.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south (S) offshore wind to clean things up. The beach can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Access
Parking is easy, with roadside spots and a car park, and the town has restrooms, camping, and a surf shop close by. Do keep in mind that water quality here is poor.
