Long Track surf guide

Long Track is a surf spot located near Currimundi Lake Conservation Park, making it a great place to escape the crowds. As you head down towards Wurtulla, you'll find that it tends to be less busy compared to other local areas. This spot is mainly known for its consistent conditions, particularly when the lake flows out, creating favorable surf setups.

The surf here works best with south-east swells, but you can also catch some action with north-east swells. It handles swell sizes starting at about 1 ft (0.3 m) and typically breaks over sand, making it a good option for beginners. The waves can come in both left and right, providing a variety of rides. When the conditions are right, especially with a south-west wind, you can see some long, peeling walls that form, particularly in the winter months. Low to mid tide is preferable for the best performance.

If you're planning to surf at Long Track, parking at the end of Watson St in Currimundi is your best bet, so you don't have to deal with a long trek through the park. This spot offers a more relaxed vibe compared to others, making it a nice place for surfers looking for some fun waves.
