Overview
Los Caracas is a boulder right-hand point along a popular beach about two hours' drive east from Caracas. The waves can be excellent near the El Rio rivermouth, where long rights peel from an outside peak into Playa La Punta bay. The main playa is a party beach that pulls big crowds on holidays.
When It Works
The point is consistent and picks up swell from north through east, with northeast (NE) the best direction. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, breaking right over boulders.
Wind and Tide
Look for south (S) offshore wind. Los Caracas works across the full tide range, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly right, and the lineup stays busy when it's breaking — there's almost always someone on the wave.
Access
Parking is free, including spots along the roadside.
