Marinaretti surf guide

Marinaretti is located right next to Anzio harbour and can be a decent surf spot when conditions are right. It has some shelter from onshore winds, which can make for a more pleasant session. However, don't expect perfect waves all the time, as it generally struggles with consistency.

The best swell direction for Marinaretti is SouthEast, but it can also work with SouthWest swells. It handles swell sizes starting from around 2ft (0.6 meters) and breaks over sand. You can catch both left and right waves here, making it suitable for some variety. The spot works best with low to mid to high tide, and it's beginner-friendly, so it's a good place for new surfers to practice.

When you're heading out, keep an eye on the wind conditions; a north wind is preferable. The combination of these factors can make your surf experience at Marinaretti enjoyable, even if it won't blow your mind all the time.
