When It Works
Osaki draws swell from northeast through east-southeast to south, and southeast is the direction to look for. A south swell is when it really turns on, stacking up consistent peaky lines along the sand and boulders. It stays rideable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there's a broad working window before it gets too small or too big. Expect it to be moderately consistent overall.
Wind and Tide
Look for west offshore wind to clean things up. The break handles low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a beginner-friendly spot with mellow peaks that are easy to read. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it works, and a bit more of a crowd on weekends when blow-ins arrive from Osaka.
