Préfailles is a surf spot located about an hour from Nantes. It's in the vicinity of Pointe St-Gildas and has a few hidden reefs nearby that are worth exploring. This spot works mainly with swell from the SouthWest and NorthWest, and it handles swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters).
