The optimal swell direction is from the west, but it can handle swells from the southwest and northwest. It works well with swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and can produce both left and right beach breaks. For the best experience, surf during low to mid or high tide, and when the wind is coming from the northeast. It’s a spot that is great for beginners, especially when it has a good sandbar set up, which typically happens in late summer.
