Roselle Beach is a long left-hand point on Jamaica's south coast, peeling over a rock ledge and sand. It pulls in more swell than anywhere else along this stretch of coast, so it breaks big out the back and turns more manageable once the wave wraps into the bay. The Longboard Bar and Grill sits right on the sand if you need a spot to regroup between sessions.
When It Works
The point takes swell from east through south, and southeast (SE) is the direction that really lights it up. It stays rideable across a wide size band, working from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, with the bigger swells reserved for out the back and the inside bay holding smaller, friendlier walls. Consistency is moderate, so it won't be firing every day, but it delivers when the south coast picks up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a north (N) offshore wind to clean up the point. It works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate wave, and since it draws the maximum swell on the south coast it tends to be the only show in town, so expect a moderately busy lineup when it turns on.
