Santa Agostino is a sandy beach break spread along a long stretch of coast just north of Gaeta, reached along Route Flacca. The water is clean, and the waves peel both left and right over the sand.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from southwest through southeast, with southeast the best match. On a windless day, a southeast swell fires up fast lefthanders on the south side of the beach. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for north offshore wind. The beach can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly beach break, and the lineup rarely gets crowded.
