Overview
Santa Lucia is a reef peak tucked below the cliff at the east end of the Cefalù promenade. It breaks over a shallow rock ledge and favours steep, fast lefts, though the peak throws both left and right. Water quality is decent.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from west through north to northeast (W-N-NE) and comes into its best form on a northwest (NW) swell. North swells in particular light up those steep, fast lefts. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean it up. The reef can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate wave, and the lineup tends to stay quiet even when it's on. If Santa Lucia isn't working, there are several more spots further along the coast.
Access
Free parking is available.
