Sprecklesville is a set of offshore reefs that breaks both left and right over uneven reef. It's often busy with the windsurf crowd making the most of the cross-shore trades, but there's a genuine wave here for surfers when the conditions line up.
When It Works
The reefs draw swell from northwest through to northeast (NW-NE), with north (N) the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft and is moderately consistent, so expect worthwhile windows rather than surf every day.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south (S) offshore, and it really cleans up in south-to-southwest kona winds. You can surf it through low, mid, and high tide, though a rising tide is generally the better call. Push into the higher tides and you'll find fewer tubes and fewer close-outs.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly wave that can give you a real run for your money when it's firing. Expect a moderately busy lineup when the reefs are working.
