St-Trojan surf guide

St-Trojan is a large beach surf spot, known for its ample choice of peaks that can be found along its stretch. This spot is generally pretty consistent and accessible, which makes it popular among surfers. However, the quality of the waves can quickly diminish if the wind isn't coming from the east, so keep that in mind when planning your session. The paddle-out can be tough, especially when the surf is headhigh (about 2.5 meters).

You can expect the best conditions when the swell is coming from the west, although it also handles swells from the southwest and northwest. This beach breaks primarily over sand and offers both left and right waves, which can be enjoyed at swell sizes starting from 1 foot (0.3 meters) up to larger heights. It works well at low, mid, and high tides, though low tide rips get stronger near Maumusson Point, so watch out for that. This spot is better suited for intermediate surfers, so make sure you're comfortable out there.

With a bit of experience, you'll be able to make the most of what St-Trojan has to offer. Just remember to check the wind and tide before heading out for the best session. Happy surfing!
