The Point surf guide

The Point is a surf spot located about 20 minutes south of Morro Negrito surf camp. It’s known for its fast, pitching left waves that work best under the right conditions. The spot really needs a decent swell to get going, so it might not always be firing. It's popular among skilled surfers, especially those who prefer lefts.

This place is best with a south or southwest swell, usually around 4 feet (1.2 meters). The waves break over an uneven reef, which can create some fun tubes but also requires a bit of caution. The ideal wind direction is from the northeast, and it works well at low to mid tide, although it can also handle high tide. If you're an intermediate surfer, you’ll find it manageable, but it’s not really a beginner-friendly spot.

Getting in and out of the water can be a bit tricky, so make sure you're comfortable with your skills before paddling out. This spot is definitely one to check out if you’re looking to score some solid waves away from the more crowded areas.
