Overview
Torsminde breaks around the jetties that protect the entrance to the estuary, where those structures give some of the peaks a hollower shape. It breaks over sand and offers both lefts and rights.
When It Works
The spot draws swell from southwest through north (SW-N), with southwest (SW) the best match. It is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for offshore wind from the east. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one is friendly enough for beginners, though the currents run strong here, so keep an eye on them. The smaller jetties to the north of the harbour entrance are usually the pick. The banks beside the long southern jetty can come together as well, but they really need light winds to be any good.
