Overview
Toudaishita is an exposed, scenic beachbreak sitting right by the rocket launch pads at the Space Centre. It breaks over sand and throws up both lefts and rights, and it can get quite powerful. There's also a softer lefthander peeling over reef, with more empty peaks scattered east toward the launch site.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from east through south to southwest, with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and stays consistent, pulling in plenty of swell from March through October. When it's on, expect punchy, powerful waves.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind to clean it up. It works on low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners. The lineup stays moderately busy when it's working, and it tends to draw more of a crowd on weekends.

There's a car park, though parking is restricted.
