Overview
Treskostraal is a right-hand point that peels over a rock ledge inside a deepwater bay. The bay wraps enough to offer some shelter from north wind, which helps keep the point surfable when everything lines up.
When It Works
The point draws swell from southwest to west (SW-W), and a west (W) swell is the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. Consistency is on the fickle side, so this is a spot to catch on the right window rather than one you can count on any given day.
Wind and Tide
Look for east (E) offshore wind to groom the point. It breaks through mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a wave for expert surfers. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it turns on.
Access
Getting in means sandy 4WD roads, and the area is great for wild camping. Parking is free and roadside.
