Overview
Turners Wall breaks over sand at the mouth of the Clarence River. The lefts here can be fast, hollow and punchy, with extra peaks forming in the middle and a righthander down at the south end.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the northeast through east-southeast to south, with east swell the best match. It's a consistent spot that picks up plenty of surf, and it works across a wide window from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean it up. It can work through low, mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a beginner-friendly wave, and it draws a busy lineup. Expect plenty of company, including holidaymakers from the nearby campsites.
Access
You'll find restrooms, showers, a lifeguard, camping and a surf shop on hand. For parking, there's a car park alongside paid and roadside options.
