Vero Pier surf guide

Vero Pier is a surf spot located in Vero Beach, Florida. It's got easy access with parking available at Jaycee Park to the south, making it convenient for a quick session. The vibe around the pier is generally mellow, and it tends not to get too crowded, which is a plus if you're looking to get in some waves without a lot of hassle. The beach tends to be clean, so you can enjoy a pretty nice environment while you surf.

This spot works best during high tide and can accommodate swell sizes from 3 to 8 feet (about 1 to 2.5 meters). The waves break over sand and can be found both to the right and left of the pier. Vero Pier is versatile with just about any swell direction, but it really shines when there's strong swell from the North, Northeast, East, and even South. Wind from the South and South-Southwest is ideal for optimal riding conditions. It's a solid option for intermediate surfers looking to ride beach or pier waves.

Since it's not a destination spot, it's more about getting in a quick surf instead of making a big trip. The paddling here is easy, so you won’t have to struggle too much to get out. Just keep an eye out for the pilings when you’re out there. The best time to hit this spot is during the fall, winter, and spring, especially after a hurricane that can help shape up the sandbars.
