Viligili is a surf spot located in Gaafu Alifu (North Huvadhoo Atoll). This area features scattered surf options like Viligili and Koodoo, which are often accessed by boats traveling to and from Male. Although the setting is picturesque, it’s known that the sea can get pretty choppy, especially when crossing the one and a half degree channel.

The waves at Viligili break over dead coral, offering reef waves that favor a right direction. The spot can handle swell sizes starting from 2 feet (about 0.6 meters) and is best with swells coming from the southeast and south. For the surfers, the ideal wind is from the west, and it works well at low, mid, and high tide. This spot is suited for intermediate surfers looking to catch some decent waves.
