Overview
Weisse Düne is a sand-bottomed beach break that peels both left and right. It flies under the radar next to Januskopf, but it can still turn on genuinely fun waves. The water quality here is generally good.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the southwest through north (SW-N), coming together best on a west swell. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft. On the smaller days, throw a longboard in the car so you can keep catching waves.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast offshore wind to groom the faces. It breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Weisse Düne suits beginners well, making it a friendly place to find your feet.
Access
There's a car park right by the beach, along with restrooms, showers, camping, and a surf school on hand.
