Agate/Pearl Street surf guide

Agate/Pearl Street is a surf spot located at the foot of Pearl Street. This spot is known for its rocky ledges, making it a bit unique and sometimes tricky to navigate. It’s not the most famous break out there, but it can deliver decent waves on the right day. The crowd here tends to be mellow, so it's a good place to surf without feeling overwhelmed.

The surf at Agate/Pearl Street works best with small to medium swells, especially from the SouthWest. You can expect to catch waves at heights around 1ft (0.3 meters) to more. Swells coming from the South and NorthWest can also work here. The waves break over rocks and sand, with both left and right-handers available. Mid tide is the preferred time to hit this spot, and it's more suited for intermediate surfers who are comfortable navigating the rocky terrain.

When planning your session, keep in mind that an east wind is ideal for this spot. While it may not be the most stellar break, it has its moments and can be a fun place to ride some waves if conditions line up just right.
