When It Works
It draws swell from the west through north, and a north swell is the best match. Expect it to work from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft, so it needs something in that band before it really turns on.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south offshore wind, with a workable wind window that runs from the east through south to southwest. The sand works across both mid and high tide and takes a rising or falling push, with high tide the standout.
