Ansedonia - La Sinistra is the southernmost surf spot in Tuscany, located along the SS. 1 Aurelia. This spot offers some unique surfing opportunities with a beautiful setting near the village. It's known for its left point break that rolls over boulders, which makes it quite interesting for surfers looking for something different. It can get a bit crowded, especially when the conditions are good, but it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area.

This spot works best with good southeast or south swells, ideally handling swell sizes around 2 ft (0.6 m). The point break creates nice left waves, and it’s suitable for intermediate surfers. It’s also important to note that the optimal wind direction is from the north. The waves can break at low, mid, or high tide, so you’ve got some flexibility there. Just be aware of the boulders when you’re out in the water.

If you're heading to Ansedonia, it’s good to keep in mind that there might be some currents and rocky surfaces in the area, but most surfers tend to enjoy the variety of waves that this beach provides. You can also find several other peaks along the beach further north, which might be worth exploring if La Sinistra gets too busy.
