Armier is an intermediate left that breaks over uneven reef and sand, sitting right on the open channel. It has a quirk: it comes alive on big northeast swells, throwing up shorebreak-style lefts across the sand and rock.
When It Works
The wave draws swell from north to northeast, with northwest (NW) the optimal direction. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, so you want some size in the water before it turns on. It can be inconsistent, so the trick is catching it on the days the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for south (S) offshore wind to groom it. Armier can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
