Overview
Badoc Island Lefts is a left-hand reef break that peels over dead coral. It's the most consistent wave in the area, with nice pockets for getting covered up or working in a few maneuvers.
When It Works
The reef pulls in swell from southwest through north to northeast (SW-N-NE), with northwest (NW) the best match. It grabs most swell directions and bends them around the long fringing reef, which helps keep it firing. Expect it to work from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, and it stays a consistent option when the swell shows up.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. Expect a fairly quiet lineup when it's working.
Access
Reaching the break means taking the resort jetski out to the island.
