Barranquito is an organized jetty left that had its heyday in the '60s and '70s, breaking over a mix of boulders and sand. Rights also peel off the other side of the jetty and back towards the left, so there are waves going both ways. It tends to run smaller than the breaks to the north, but when the boulders and sand line up it can show noticeably better shape. Seen from the cliffs it always looks more lined-up than it really is.
When It Works
The spot picks up swell from south through west-southwest to northwest, and southwest is the direction that suits it best. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is moderate, so it won't be on every day, but the windows are there often enough to be worth checking.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
