Bobo's is a reef break that peels both left and right, running a touch faster than neighbouring La Derecha's but staying well-covered and easy to get into. The wave breaks over an uneven reef.
When It Works
Bobo's draws swell from north to east (N-E), with north swell the best match. It's a consistent break and works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south offshore wind to clean things up. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners. The inside section is the designated beginners area, where the reef sits deep and the many surf schools can safely send soft-tops out for the whitewash and reforms. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's working, and keep an eye out for urchins on the outer reef.

You'll find camping, a surf school, and a surf shop close by, with free roadside parking.
